Our Maternity department understands how special the welcoming of a new child into a family can be. That understanding is what drives all aspects of our Maternity care. From the design of our spacious delivery rooms that can accommodate those who wish to be present at the time of birth, to the concept of Rooming-In where the new child remains with the mother immediately after delivery, we want this occasion to be special for each of our new moms.
Mt Graham Regional Medical Center does provide epidurals during delivery for those who want them and a nursery is available for those times when mom needs a rest following delivery.
MGRMC also provides prenatal classes for expectant parents and a breastfeeding class and support group for new mothers. To learn more about our prenatal classes and when they are offered, or to sign up for an upcoming class, please visit our Events and Calendar section, located under the News and Events tab, and select Pregnancy/Prenatal. The breastfeeding class will be offered to mothers who have not yet delivered on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The support group information can be found below:
Breastfeeding Support Group
- Each 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30 - 8:00
- 2115 W. 16th St. - Cancer Center Conference Room (located just off of the Cancer Center lobby). However, due to varying demand, please call 348-4185 to ensure an instructor will be available and for possible location changes.
Each week new topics will be discussed. Come learn new techniques from International Board Certified Lactation Consultants.
