Copper Mountain Clinic is excited to welcome a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Keethan Sellers, to the Gila Valley.

Keethan Sellers will offer the community psychiatric evaluation and the management of mental health disorders for children, teens, and adults in the outpatient setting. This includes both the diagnosing and prescribing of psychiatric medications when appropriate. Some of these disorders include depression, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), among others.

Sellers graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He began working for several years as a registered nurse at many behavioral health facilities throughout the Phoenix area, including inpatient and outpatient settings with adult and adolescent populations. After seeing the huge need in Arizona for more mental health providers that can diagnose and prescribe, he went back to school and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with his master’s degree as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

“My experience working in behavioral health has solidified my commitment to this field and my desire to help my patients suffering from mental health issues to regain hope and be able to live their best lives,” said Sellers.

Sellers grew up spending time here in the Gila Valley with his family and is excited to be back here to serve the community he has grown to love. “I am happy that I now get to call the Gila Valley my home and to be able to offer such an important service to the residents here. Being able to provide this service at the beautiful and new Copper Mountain Clinic building is equally exciting”, said, Sellers.

Mount Graham Regional Medical Center knows our community’s need for mental health services for all ages, and we are grateful for the services Keethan can offer for the Gila Valley and beyond. If you or a family member are looking for help with your mental health, Keethan invites you to make an appointment so you can partner together on how to
get back to living a balanced, healthy, and happy life.
