Have you ever sat in our front lobby, greeted by a smiling volunteer in a mint jacket? Or browse through our Gift Shop while visiting a loved one to get out of surgery? Visited our Cancer Center or lay in a new patient bed bought and paid for by the MGRMC Foundation? The hospital’s Auxiliary volunteers and Foundation Board are some of the volunteers that make it all possible and play a tremendous role in our community’s experience with MGRMC. April is National Volunteer Month, and MGRMC celebrates our Auxiliary and Foundation for their dedication to serving our community.
Our Auxiliary members, famously adorned in their mint jackets and bright smiles, contribute to our hospital through fundraising efforts and volunteering at our front desk and gift shop. Our Auxiliary is always looking for fundraising opportunities. It is famous for their Christmas House, a fundraiser done selling homemade crafts and baked goods during the holiday season. The COVID-19 pandemic has not slowed down the Auxiliary’s spirit. They have continued to raise money through various raffles and auction nights.

The MGRMC Foundation supports Mount Graham Regional Medical Center in all of its endeavors to improve the quality, scope, and availability of health care for the entire community through philanthropy, education, and awareness development. Foundation Board members are comprised of community members that are passionate about serving their neighbors, friends, and families.
The Foundation hosts two golf tournaments a year, one at the Mount Graham Gold Course in Thatcher and one in Phoenix at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. These tournaments include a full day of golfing fun, prizes, and a 50/50 raffle.

Board of Directors
MGRMC has 15 Governing Board of Directors, all of whom are members of our community passionate about providing quality healthcare to Graham and Greenlee counties. Five of these Directors are members of the District Board, who are elected by our community.
These board members volunteer countless hours to make decisions for our hospital and our community. They are passionate about MGRMC and the patients that we serve. Their stewardship and leadership help guide Mount Graham Regional Medical Center and ensure we can do so for many years to come. As hospital staff, we are grateful for the opportunity we have to serve our entire community.
As a community hospital, we do not serve strangers- we serve our neighbors, our friends, and our families. This would not be possible without our volunteers who fund MGRMC and volunteer countless hours to ensure MGRMC is everything our community needs. If you see any of our incredible volunteers this month, let them know how much they are appreciated!
